Is the Pajama Cardinalfish Reef Safe?
Yes. The Pajama Cardinalfish is fully reef-safe. It does not nip corals, bother ornamental invertebrates, or cause problems in a mixed reef system. It is one of the more reliably reef-compatible fish in the hobby.
Corals
Pajama Cardinalfish do not nip or disturb corals. They hover in the mid-water column near rockwork and show no interest in coral tissue. They are safe with all coral types — LPS, SPS, and soft corals.
Invertebrates
Pajama Cardinalfish are safe with cleaner shrimp, peppermint shrimp, snails, hermit crabs, urchins, and other common reef invertebrates. They are carnivores and will eat very small prey items like copepods and amphipods, but they pose no threat to ornamental invertebrates of normal size.
Other Fish
