Molting is one of the most significant events in a tarantula’s or scorpion’s life — and one of the most useful things to track. A molt record tells you how frequently an individual molts, how long the premolt period lasted, whether anything went wrong, and what the animal’s condition was before and after.
That history becomes especially useful over time: spotting a premolt that ran unusually long, noticing a pattern of difficulty, tracking growth across molts, or having records ready if you’re working toward breeding. It’s also easy information to lose without writing it down.
