Choosing the right enclosure is the single most important decision you'll make for your tarantula. Unlike reptiles, tarantulas have very specific ventilation requirements — cross-ventilation (side and top vents) is essential for most species, and a poorly ventilated enclosure leads to mold, bacterial growth, and respiratory stress.
